30 beautifully appointed en suite bedrooms are individually decorated and furnished for your comfort. The bathroom floors and walls are decorated with Italian tiles and a number of rooms have corner baths.
Morning coffees and afternoon teas can be enjoyed in the Clock Lounge, where there is an interesting collection of working clocks and, in the cooler months, a welcoming log fire. Wedding receptions are held in the hotel's Georgian ballroom, which provides the perfect setting. This elegant room with its tall sash windows features a large dance floor, a stage, an adjacent cocktail bar and spacious banqueting seating for 130 guests.
Weddings with a literary theme can be held in the unique Georgian Theatre Royal, which is just around the corner from the hotel. Marry on stage with your guests as your audience then head back to the hotel for your reception. The Panelled Room is a private room, available for special occasions such as business meetings, luncheons, dinners and small parties. For functions and conferences, the ballroom seats 150 theatre-style, and there are smaller meeting rooms available.

Lunches and suppers are served in the bar along with a pint of hand pulled beer or wine chosen from the excellent selection. Upstairs in the warm ambiance of the award-winning restaurant, dinner is available each evening, complimented by a choice of wines.
The attractive restaurant is located on the first floor with views across the Market Place. The dinner menu offers a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian options. For Sunday lunch, there is a choice of roasts. The wine list displays selections from around the globe to compliment your meal, along with champagne, pudding wines and liqueurs. Service is efficient, but informal, making dinner a relaxing experience. Vegetarian and fish dishes are available on all of the hotel's dining and bar menus, and the head chef will be pleased to cater for special diets with a little advance notice.
By Car
From the A1/A66 at Scotch Corner:
- Take the A6108 signposted Richmond.
- Follow this road through village of Skeeby and into Richmond.
- Head straight on at the roundabout and straight on at traffic lights.
- At the next mini roundabout (with the library on your left), go straight on.
- At the next mini roundabout, turn left into the cobbled road and right into the King's Head Hotel car park.
From the Dales:
- Enter Richmond on the A6108.
- When you see the Tourist Information Centre on your left, go straight on at the roundabout into a cobbled road, and turn right into the King's Head car park.
